Compressed files may trigger a false positive, indicating a deepfake when the image or video is actually genuine
Screen captures from videos, especially still frames, might also receive a false positive verdict
Social media filters and effects are not classified as deepfakes, even though they alter the original image or video
This deepfake detection tool analyzes specific patterns and inconsistencies typically found in AI–generated images, but these technical limitations are important to keep in mind when reviewing the results. For best accuracy, try to use high–quality, uncompressed original images whenever possible.
